When your clothesline cannot wind up or down, there may be an issue with either the stabilizer plug or the winding mechanism. You may need a new Secondary Standard Assembly, as the metal plug at the bottom of your current one could have corroded.
The replacement secondary standard will be suitable if you have a handle casing that has 8 bolts holding it together and where the outer tube is 57mm or 2 ΒΌ inches in diameter.
If you have a handle casing with 4 bolts holding it together it will not fit your Hills fixed head clothesline.
