When a Hills rotary clothesline has been in one place for a long time, you will need a bit of force to remove it from the existing ground socket. This is due to dirt and dust settling in over its years of service.
Step by step:
- Get some warm soapy water
- Undo the locking cap and pour warm soapy water into the ground socket hole
- Rock the stem of the Hills rotary clothesline, to get water around the pole
- Wait approximately five minutes, then try guiding the rotary clothesline out of the ground socket.
If you are having trouble doing this there may be a build-up of dirt which you can try to flush out with a hose.
If you are unable to use your old one, you can purchase a Replacement Ground Socket online .
