There are some quick troubleshooting here you can try with your Hills retracting clothesline:
- Is your retracting clothesline cabinet upright or upside down?
If it is upside down you will need to reinstall the cabinet in the upright position. - Is your clothesline tension lever in the first or second position?
The first position provides normal tensioning on the lines. The second position allows for further tightening of the lines , if the first position is not tight enough.
Tip.
Always retract the lines back into the cabinet when your clothesline is not in use. Do this by holding the retracting bar securely and walking it back to the cabinet. This will protect the lines from weathering and help keep your Hills retracting clothesline in top shape.
